where the wild things are OST

Aside the movie, “Where The Wild Things Are” is not only viewable but also hearable. Director Spike Jonze assign Karen O of Yeah Yeah Yeahs to put up all the crunchy sounds into this incredible movie. With the chanted and heavy song “Capsize” consisting of ritual clapping a howled vocals. And the slow, somewhat depressing track “Hideaway”, Swapping back to the upbeat songs the soundtrack jumps too “Heads Up”, a song just as happy and joyous as “All Is Love”, or its reprise “Building All Is Love”. This soundtrack, nearly a standalone album, is definitely a rollercoaster of emotion and excellent sounds. Just close your eyes and flow with the harmony then find yourself in the midst of The Wild Things, rumpus-ing, dancing, laughing, crying and even playing with the silence. One amazingly gathered sounds to spend the whole day with. Voices of the kids heard within several songs are refreshing and fun. somehow entertaining. And yes, you gotta have one🙂

There’s few of my favorite such as “All is Love”, “Hideaway” and one song ain’t included in the album but heard during the trailer: “Wake Up” by The Arcade Fire.

This one is from “All is Love”. We like it so much, we used to jump and dance along to the song, get tired laughing and then rewind it over and over. Our home turns into a childfun during the play!

All is Love – Karen O & The Kids

1, 2 ready, go!!
Grow some big feet, holes in history
Is where you’ll find me, is where you’ll find
All is Love, is love, is love, is love

L.O.V.E, it’s a mystery
Where you’ll find me, where you’ll find

All is Love, is love, is love, is love
Ooh ooh ooh ooh ….. All is Love

1, 2 ready, go!!
L.O.V.E, it’s a mystery
Where you’ll find me, where you’ll find
All is Love, is love, is love, is lo

Ooh ooh ooh ooh ……

L.O.V.E, it’s a mystery
Where you’ll find me, where you’ll find
All is Love, is love, is love, is love ……
